Welcome to My Cupboard
My Cupboard is your central inventory management system. Track all your food items in one place, monitor quantities, and get alerts before items expire.
Adding Items
Adding items to your cupboard is quick and easy:
- Start typing - Type an ingredient name in the search box
- Select or create - Choose from suggestions or add a new item
- Set details - Set the quantity, unit, and category
- Add expiry - Optionally set an expiry date for tracking
Use the Smart Autocomplete feature - it understands plurals and common variations (e.g., "eggs" will find "egg", "tomatoes" will find "tomato").
Managing Stock
Keep your inventory accurate by regularly updating stock levels:
- Use +/- buttons - Adjust quantities quickly with one tap
- Automatic staples - When an item runs out completely, it's automatically added to your Staples list
- Stock Filter - Use filters to see In Stock, Running Low, or Out of Stock items
Track items as: In Stock (plenty available), Running Low (below your target), or Out of Stock (completely depleted).

Quickly find what you need using these powerful filters:
When you select "Out of Stock" filter, you'll be automatically taken to your shopping list to add these items!
Best Practices
- Update regularly - Update inventory after each shopping trip
- Set expiry dates - Helps reduce food waste with timely alerts
- Use categories - Organize items for easier browsing
- Check weekly - Review low stock items before creating shopping lists
